Brigstowe is partnered with a psychotherapy trained integrative counsellor to offer affordable counselling sessions to our clients.
These sessions are 60 minutes long and take place weekly on a Friday. They can be accessed online or you can come to our office in Easton, where a dedicated safe space is provided. Sessions are limited to Fridays and we do hold a waiting list.
The cost for a session is £30 an hour. If meeting this cost in full would be a barrier to accessing therapeutic support, please speak to a member of staff about your particular circumstances.
Meet Kier – a psychotherapy trained integrative counsellor

Hi, I’m Kier, a psychotherapy trained integrative counsellor. I have been trained in multiple counselling styles. Instead of using them separately, I combine and draw from each of them.
The styles of counselling that I integrate are Gestalt, Person Centred and Psychodynamic. These are all talk-based therapies that have slightly different focuses. My main modality is Gestalt; it’s a creative approach that draws not only on talking, but also art and movement, to open the client up to what they are feeling when words alone are not enough.
I draw on the concepts used in Person Centred counselling to build trust with my clients allowing them to take a moment to look at who they want to be and what might be holding them back.
Psychodynamic looks at how a person has developed over the course of their life, seeking any events that have impacted on the client or disrupted their development. I use it to help add more structure to my sessions particularly for those clients who need a more organised approach.
What does this mean for the client? It means that I can deliver a bespoke service adapting how I work to the client (rather than getting the client to adapt to how I work.) For some, this might mean creating structure and making a framework to hold them; others might end up using art or movement to help them understand a feeling that they can’t put into words.
Some clients just need to feel listened to and believed in, many of them will need aspects of all the above and that’s why I draw on multiple styles of counselling.
