Peer Support Coordinator for people living with type 2 diabetes
Salary: £21,693 – £23,866 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week (will include evening & weekend work)
Contract: 11 months (there is the possibility of extension if the project is successful)
Brigstowe in partnership with Bristol Community Health are recruiting for a Peer Support Coordinator to develop and deliver a peer support service for people living with diabetes . The Peer Support Coordinator will be responsible for managing and promoting this project, recruiting and training new volunteers, facilitating matches as well building strong relationships within the Bristol Community Health Diabetes and Nutrition Service (DANS).
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the difference that peer mentoring can make to people’s lives, has excellent organisational and communication skills and is confident working with a diverse range of service users, staff and volunteers. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and exciting role and will be able to see first-hand the impact that peer mentoring can have on people’s lives.
This post is recruited in partnership with Bristol Community Health and will be managed by Brigstowe’s Positive Voices Manager.
