REACT! Social Group |
We provide opportunities for clients to socialise, support each other and learn new skills. REACT!'s name comes from "Recreation and Activities" which we believe is a key part of the work that we do.
The main purpose of the client group is to promote health and wellbeing, address social isolation and empower clients. A group worker facilitates clients' personal and social development through the organisation of a range of social and practical activities.
These include day trips to places such as Longleat, Weston super Mare and Berkeley Castle, together with theatre trips, movie nights and spa days. Other activities may include workshops and training, such as digital photography, using the internet, and one day cookery schools.
Skills and experience can also be developed by volunteering for appropriate tasks.
In our determination to address stigma and encourage testing we are also developing services that encourage clients to offer mutual support and the confidence to speak out.
Please contact us if you are interested in any of these services.
