Quality of life for people living with HIV
The Brigstowe Project offers free confidential and independent information, advice and support for people affected by HIV.
We can provide floating support, together with advice and information, as appropriate to the needs of the person to improve their quality of life.
We are here for anyone who is living with HIV who:-
- lives in Bristol and surrounding areas.
- needs support, information or advice with homelessness and housing issues, welfare rights, community care or health.
- wants help to maintain a tenancy.
For more information, see What we do. We can provide an interpreter if English is not your first language.
Volunteering
We are seeking enthusiastic people to join our existing committee. You will have the time and energy to take a proactive role in sustaining and furthering our work, and in return we will provide support and training. Please contact us for further information.
Funding
Brigstowe is funded by a number of different local authorities and grant giving organisations. Funding is in place for 2011-2012 and we are proactively working to maintain funding by developing our services.
The Government's Transition Fund have awarded Brigstowe £37,949, and we continue to be funded by Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council, North Somerset Council, Lloyds TSB, Henry Smith Charity, EHRC. We also receive smaller grants from other organisations for specific projects, and donations are always welcome.
