REACT! 'Recreation and Activities'
This is a social group open to anyone who is or has received a service from Brigstowe and is HIV+.
The focus of the group is to bring people together to enjoy an event or activity in the company of others. It offers an opportunity to expand your social network and to enrich your life by meeting people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Regular events such as trips to Bristol Zoo, Bristol Hippodrome, bowling, film evenings, cultural events are enjoyed as well as an annual week's holiday in the UK.
The emphasis is on fun and mutual support! If you are not currently receiving information about REACT social events and would like to be included on the mailing list, please contact Brigstowe and we will be happy to add you to the list.
Become a Member
Everybody can apply to become a member. Our members are essential to the Project's work in order to make sure we are accountable and run effectively. Becoming a member is one way to ensure that people affected by HIV have a say in how the project runs.
Our membership list is confidential to the Project's staff and Trustees and will not be distributed to any other organisation.
Volunteer as a Committee Member
The Brigstowe Project is managed by a committee of volunteers. The Committee meets on a monthly basis in the evening. Committee members usually take on specific tasks according to their skills i.e. fundraising, PR, booking etc. We are always on the look out for new members of the Committee and would like to encourage applications from people who have direct experience of using our services.
